Skills NS presented a brief to design a limited edition can for Chain yard Cider celebrating Nova Scotia history and culture. The subject was Angus MacAskill, the Cape Breton giant widely considered the strongest man who ever lived. The challenge was to honour a larger than life figure while staying approachable, shelf ready, and ensuring the can felt like a natural extension of the existing Chain yard lineup.

The concept makes his scale the whole point. MacAskill is so massive he doesn't fit on the can, and cropping him at the legs communicates his magnitude more effectively than showing him in full. The tagline "Tall Boy from a Very Tall Man" ties the product format directly to the legend it celebrates. The illustration style and colour palette were chosen to feel native to the Chain yard brand while still standing on its own as a limited edition.
